Starlight Society Supporter - SALLY B. THORNTON

November 17th, 2007 Starlight Society supporters gathered for a fashion luncheon to raise important monies for the continued presentation of musical theater, and education about musical theater in San Diego. The setting was the spectacular bay view ballroom at the Bahia Resort Hotel.

Guests enjoyed enticing boutique shopping, a light lunch including spring green salad with accoutrements, breast of chicken with Bing cherries and Merlot sauce, and a lemon tart with coffee and tea service.

Among those there were Starlight honored Dr. Eleanor Pratt and Sam Bedford, Board of Directors President Marcella Quirk, Fashion Show Committee Members Merle Lotherington, she was the Event Chair too, Brenda Moore, Carolyn Moulton, Marilyn Nunn, Marcella Quirk once again, Nell Swanson, Rose Mary Taylor, Eileen Vernon, Mary G. Walker, and Sally B. Thornton.

Sally hosted a table of ladies front and center. And she did so with panache. Sally accessorized with an ostrich feather boa. Sally's guests were Joan Bowes, Louarn Fleet, Danah Fayman, Betty Dow, Mary Ann Ginnow, Leonard Simpson, Phyliss Parrish and Margo Schwab.

More there enjoying a parade of musical stars included Mary Johnson, Cheri Briccio, Karisa Karlovich, Carol Karlovich, Denise Ekstrom, Marie Chemali and Darlene Davies.

There was big applause for many 'stars' as they fashionably walked the catwalk while their list of theatrical credits were read by Carol LeBeau. Among the theatrical stars were: Phillys Burns, Sue Boland, Darlene Gould Davies, Ellen Drexler, Yvonnne Green, Connie Reed, Robin Tweed, Dora Walker, Maye Howe Osman, and young Child Star, Halle Hoffman.

All in all a fashionable day of fun fundraising for the Starlight Society. ENCORE STARLIGHT!!

* Margo Schwab, formally known as Margaret E. Schwab, has produced, written, interviewed and photographed for various media organizations since 1989. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School.
