"Well it was a great night for the Globe!  It was the first beautiful day in a month and everyone turned out in their summer finery. My hardworking Co-Chairs looked beautiful and the party rocked on until the band had to go home! We raised a record amount of funds from this gala because of the committee's hard work and the generosity of all our patrons and long-time supporters. The Sheraton's Steve Black created a memorable meal for our 75th anniversary celebration and all the attendee's seemed to really enjoy themselves. All the chairs had a great time working with the fantastically dedicated Globe staff and it showed in the details of the party. And I hope everyone gets a chance to see "Robin and the Seven Hoods." The great music and outstanding choreography had the patron's cheering for the talented cast!  And the cast danced with us until the wee hours. * Margo Schwab, more formally known as Margaret E. Schwab, has produced, written, interviewed and photographed for various media organizations since 1989. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School. Schwab has a B.A. from Scripps College, spent a business internship with S.A.I.C., Science Applications International Corporation, and earned a Masters of Business degree, M.B.A., from the University of San Diego by way of Claremont Graduate School . Schwab additionally took college courses from Harvard University, and Syracuse University. Schwab volunteers for numerous charity organizations. She also continues to support animal organizations and the prevention of people and animal abuse. Schwab is the editor of The Social Diary.
