'Champagne on Ice' - Seacrest Village Gala 2011

February 5th, 2011 supporters of Seacrest Village arrived to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for quite an unusual gala fete. Themed 'Champagne on Ice,' the night started with a snowy white color scheme, champagne and the evening continued with a lovely sit down dinner and ice skating show.

Gala Chair Jane Ottenstein, after a quick change, even skated out to thank everyone for coming and supporting Seacrest Villages.

The evening, organized by the Women’s Auxiliary, benefits the Seacrest Village Retirement Communities’ mission "to provide excellence and quality of life while embracing traditional Jewish and cultural values."

Guests at this event included Women's Auxiliary President Mary Epsten and her husband Jon. Also there were Pauline Foster, Joan and Irwin Jacobs, Bea and Bob Epsten, Melissa and Michael Bartell, Barbara Bloom, Lee and Frank Goldberg, Alberta Feurzeig, Esther and Bud Fischer, Sheila Lipinsky, Sally and John Thornton, Rusti Bartell Weiss, Susan and Richard Ulevitch, Tamara Strauss (in a Marchesa gown) and Todd Frank, Roxi and Fred Link, Sheila and Jeffrey Lipinsky, Joyce and Paul Dostart, and Lael and Jay Kovtun.

Guests enjoyed a salad of Boston Bibb Lettuce with Goat Cheese, Candied Walnut with a Honey / Sherry vinaigrette, followed by a grilled Center Cut Petit Filet Mignon in Demi Glace with Grilled King Salmon. Dessert was a Trilogy Cake (translation, extra time at the gym as guests joked) of White and Dark Chocolate Mousse and Cake along with Heirloom Apple Streusel Tart.

Dancing to the Society Beat followed. Guests stayed and danced until midnight!
