Tennis action for the Davis Cup "Tie" between Romania and the USA is building rapidly for Friday's start. The location, the beautiful La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Described aptly by USA Team members as "paradise." Seen practicing strongly have been the Romanians, Victor Hanescu, Andrei Pavel, Razvan Sabau, Horia-Vlad Tecau, and Team Captain Florin Segarceanu. The USA team is likewise in strong form. The USA team has members are James Blake, Andy Roddick, and the Bryan Brothers with Team Captain Patrick McEnroe. Meanwhile, the USA Team press conference went on with some fun verbal patter. James Blake described his new shaved head as easy maintenance so he could concentrate on tennis. All members went quiet after a non-tennis question regarding female attention. All remarked positively about the previous night's event at the Hard Rock Cafe in La Jolla. A few tickets to the event are still available. There is a ticket booth by the front gate of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. * Margo Schwab has
